This Tone Painting was created during the Matrix 5 series in 1995 at my 1st floor studio in the Piano Gallery, an artist residence , at 791 Tremont Street in Boston, MA. I meditated with the tone G@380Hz prior and during painting the work.. From 5/06 - 6/06 this piece was exhibited at The Space Ark Gallery in Los Angeles, CA, The mixed medium work measures 48” x 48” and is wired for hanging.

The painting "Corridors of Alignment" refers to the various aspects of life that come together to form a necessary whole. It was created during my Matrix 5 project, which came about as I studied the 5 healing tones, used by my Tsalagi (Cherokee) ancestors for centuries in the medicine practice. I learned that each tone resonates with a particular organ system. Although color frequencies are measured differently, the Tsalagi recognize the connection between the attributes of tones and hues. 

I meditated with the tone G @380Hz and then allowed the vibrations of the  tone lead my progress with the painting. The tone G is associated with the color Blue, so there are patches of Blue throughout the painting. 

The smallest particle of life, and everything beyond, responds to Sound. Sound, as medicine chants and instrumentation, is an important element in Tsalagi healing. Through the understanding of our relationship to sound, we begin to enter the world between form and formlessness, being and becoming.
